Republican congressional candidate Jennifer Horn took time away from the campaign trail this weekend to walk 26.2 miles in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
"I have been supporting the Avon Foundation's programs for breast cancer research for nearly ten years,” Horn stated.
“This disease has touched so many families throughout the 2nd District, including my own. Unfortunately, after a valiant fight of almost fifteen years, my cousin recently lost her battle against breast cancer. It is a heart-breaking loss that only strengthens my resolve to do whatever I can to further the effort for a cure,” she continued.
“Between training and the official walks, I have walked thousands of miles over the years for this cause. One thing I have learned is that when good people come together to fight what is right, they can change the world. I will remain engaged in this fight until a cure is found,” Horn concluded.
This was Horn's eighth Avon walk.
