NASHUA, N.H. - A Nashua (New Hampshire) newspaper columnist and radio host is running for Congress, saying freshman Democrat Paul Hodes has squandered his chance to help reform Washington.
Republican Jennifer Horn says New Hampshire voters elected Hodes to change Washington, but that Washington has changed him. She says she would work for smaller government, to cut taxes and wasteful spending, to develop a long-term energy solution, for immigration reform and to support the military and veterans.
Horn writes a Sunday column for The Telegraph of Nashua and is host of a daily current events radio talk show. The column will be suspended for the campaign.
Hodes' chief of staff, Matt Robinson, said Hodes continues to be focused on changing the direction of the country and bringing honesty and accountability back to Congress.
