Horn Calls on Congress to Lift Off-shore Drilling Ban

Horn Calls on Congress to Follow President’s Lead with Off-shore Drilling

Horn: Time to End Partisan Politics and Work for what will Help the American People

Nashua – Jennifer Horn, Republican candidate for the 2nd Congressional District, agrees with President Bush and John McCain that Congress needs to lift the ban on off-shore drilling.

Horn stated, “The issue of off-shore drilling is of paramount importance – with today’s technology we know it is now possible to access our own resources with virtually no environmental impact – to fail to do is simply irresponsible. “

Horn continued, “While off-shore drilling might not solve all our problems, it’s a step in the right direction.  We must do everything to relieve the budget-crippling pain American families are feeling every day at the gas pump.”

Horn also rebuked Congressman Paul Hodes for his lack of action on the issue of helping to reduce gas prices.

“Paul Hodes continues to show that he is a do-nothing representative in a do-nothing Congress.  The problem in Washington is that they wait for a crisis before acting.  While Congress waited, gas prices rose to over $4 a gallon, and New Hampshire families are now paying the price.  So far, the only thing Paul Hodes has offered is a glossy taxpayer funded mailer telling us how bad it is.  It seems that the Democrats are against everything.  Energy independence is not a Republican or Democrat issue.  It’s time that Congress stops being against things and starts working for the American people. Let’s end partisan politics and work for what will help New Hampshire families.”
