NASHUA TELEGRAPH - Horn attracts former Bass colleague

Republican congressman candidate Jennifer Horn convinced at least one of Charlie Bass’ former brethren in the US House to join forces with her.

Four-term, Iowa Congressman Steve King will campaign and host a fund-raiser for Horn on May 8 with stops planned in Concord, Keene and Nashua.

King is chairman of the Conservative Opportunity Society, the fiscal and socially-conservative bloc group that helped engineer the House GOP taker back in 1994.

 “We’ve met once and been in contact several times. Like me, he wants to elect real fiscal conservatives and has been a leader in the fight to repeal the Obama health care law,” Horn said Wednesday.

King is known on Capitol Hill for making provocative statements such as when he predicted during the 2008 campaign that Al Qaeda dancing in the streets’ would greet an Obama victory.
