Lowering health insurance costs

Congress must focus on solutions rather than party politics.  I strongly oppose the idea of a taxpayer-funded, government administered health insurance plan. 

With corruption and government’s inability to run any program efficiently, a universal health care program would not serve the needs of the people.  It is wrong for America.  I will fight to lower the cost of health insurance by minimizing government mandates and increasing competition.   

In Congress I will fight: (1) for increased competition by allowing consumers to purchase health insurance across state lines (2) to allow small business owners to pool their purchasing power to buy health insurance at bulk rates; and (3) to reform liability laws to influence the cost of health insurance. 

We need to create maximum choice for the consumer through Flexible Spending Accounts, Health Savings Accounts and by exploring other cost-saving ideas currently being discussed in states around the country.
