With fuel prices soaring and people losing their homes, many people are worried about their jobs. We need to act now to prevent a crisis.
Unfortunately, Congress is trying to fix the symptoms and not address the real problem of a slowing economy.
Congress needs to: (1) Get its financial house in order. American families have to pay their bills and balance their budgets; we should expect the same of government. This will be an engine for economic growth and job creation by itself; and (2) Lower fuel prices. Not only do high fuel costs destroy the family budget, it increases the cost of goods and serves for everyone. It’s Economics 101; the high cost of fuel that a business pays is passed on to you and me.
To create new jobs we need to: (a) Create incentives for businesses to locate to and stay in New Hampshire; and (b) Let Small Business Flourish. They are the backbone of America, and as a member of congress, I will make it easier for them to grow and create more jobs.
