Concord City GOP Breakfast

Today Jennifer attended the Concord City GOP Breakfast that was held at the historic Robie's Country Store and Deli.

Like everywhere she goes, Jennifer picked up more supporters for her campaign.

It was amazing to be at this historic campaign stop.  Jennifer added her campaign bumper sticker to the wall of famous Republican visitors.

Imagine being in the same place where Barry Goldwater, Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, George Bush and George W. Bush have campaigned. Many elected New Hampshire state officials make this store a "must do stop" on the campaign trail.  We can't wait to go back!

Concord Gun Show

Bill and I went to the Gun Show up in Concord on Saturday - they had a great crowd, thanks to the finally warming weather!

We ran into former State Rep. Richard "Stretch" Kennedy while we were there - Stretch is always good for some colorful conversation. He took me on a tour of some the vendors and introduced me around to his friends.

I visited every booth and saw some fascinating things, including some firearms that were actually used in the Civil War. One of the vendors specialized in antique firearms...he knew the story behind every piece in his case -looking at his wares was like taking a walk through American history.

Another vendor had a number of very small guns, intended for women to carry in their purses. One, a .22 caliber, was beautiful- a gorgeous wood burl handle with detailed engraving on a metal plate attached to the handle. It really was like a work of art.

All the vendors were pleased with their sales for the day, telling me that business was unusually good. One suggested that it was because of fear that a Democrat might take the White House - he said gun owners are concerned that the Second Amendment may be under attack. All the more important, I say, that we send folks to Congress who respect the Constitution and are willing to fight for the rights of the individual.
