Day 1 in Coos County!

We had a great two days in Coos County - from a stint on WMOU in Berlin to a heart-to-heart with Gorham Town Manager Bill Jackson to a wonderful dinner meeting with the Coos County GOP - we made so many new friends I can't wait to return.

The Oil Truck

On our first day in town we finished up our interview on WMOU and had a few minutes to spare so we decided to to check in to the motel (The Town and Country in Gorham - great place to stay!). It was about a ten minute drive and my friend Gerry and I spent the whole time talking about the campaign, oblivious to the fact that we were being followed.

When we pulled into the motel parking lot, an oil delivery truck pulled up right behind us. The driver jumped out and practically accosted Gerry!

"Are you Jennifer Horn?" he asked her. She directed him to me, on the other side of the car and I asked him how he knew who we were.

"I saw the bumper sticker on your car and had to track you down," he said. "I figured you couldn't be going very far."

It turns out he was making deliveries and listening to our interview on WMOU as he drove around. Entirely by coincidence, we ended up right in front of him as we drove from Berlin to Gorham.

"I had to say hello," he told me in the parking lot. "I was listening to you on the radio and I just want you to know that I love what you had to say. Keep it up!"

He gladly accepted a couple of bumper stickers and got back to work.

Our first Coos County member of Team Horn - not bad! If you see an oil delivery truck with a Horn For Congress bumper sticker, give him a friendly honk from us!

Best Wishes,

Jennifer
